About
* MY FIRST TANGO STORY * (project)
Hi guys, happy to be back to the Tango Dancers Blog and yesterday on July 9th I announced on FB my new project within the Tango Dancers Blog.
My First Tango is a new series of stories told by TANGO DANCERS on video about their early tango experience. See the details below. Make your story unique! The goal is to create 50 stories in total and at least 20 stories in 2018. Videos will be uploaded to the TANGO DANCERS Youtube channel. #myfirsttangostory DWe will try to publish interviews on a weekly basis, it also depends how many people will take part in the project and submit their stories. Do SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, COMMENT and SHARE the videos!! Look forward as well to hearing about your stories from you. The goal of the project is to HAVE FUN sharing these stories and connect to each other and also to raise awareness about Argentine Tango in a creative way and encourage people to give a try to this beautiful dance or at least to learn about traditional tango music and artists, performers, instructors :). Right now we are inviting to collaborate on this project all instructors and dancers with 5+ years of experience to share their fun / interesting / unusual story from their first class or milonga or EARLY TANGO EXPERIENCE... Or even any moving tango story told in an engaging way. It would be also great to hear from people who live in different parts of the world which will allow us to know more about tango and dancers in other places. The plan is to record a few "My First Tango" stories in Vancouver (Tatiana will be recording mainly and whoever would like to volunteer to support provided there is enough basic experience) and also find people all over the world who could record this video and contribute to the project. Because of that a special release form signed is required (your official consent to exclusively publish the video recording within the frames of the Tango Dancers Blog/ First Tango Project). There is a chance that some of those videos I will turn into a short documentary however it will be later (tbc), for now the main thing is to make it happen - let's do it together :). Of course, a credit can be given to the Tango Dancer, cameraman and editor (if requested). As always for the TANGO DANCERS Project the most important thing is PEOPLE. So do make the story personal and unique if you want to add some visuals to it you are welcome to! :) however please stay true to the facts ;)). If you are an instructor or artist, and have submitted your story which was featured on the Tango Dancers Blog / Vlog, I am happy to put a link to your tango / dance related website or a portfolio website if you are an artist. Tips for recording are coming soon! :)
The stories do not have to be perfect!! However should be engaging in the way you tell it and interesting (see guidelines on the right). Particular stories will be featured on the Tango Dancers Vlog. Be creative! :) |
Ideas for stories:
There could be many topics, the main thing is to tell a real story in an engaging way: - some unusual / interesting way of getting inspired in tango - fun / unusual story about your first class, tango (or vals /milonga) - first impressions about music - an interesting person you met and it influenced you as a dancer - your first performance story :) - stories about your students :) - a fun story about shoes - exotic place you danced at (if you can make a story out of it :) - your suggestion? Be creative! |
